Project “Construction and Equipment of Hotel Preko”
The project “Construction and Equipment of Hotel Preko” has been awarded non-refundable funding under the call “Strengthening Sustainability and Encouraging the Green and Digital Transition of Entrepreneurs in the Tourism Sector” from the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
As part of the project, Preko d.o.o. is investing in the construction and equipment of the first high-category 4-star hotel with significant accommodation capacity (65 accommodation units) in the Municipality of Preko and on the island of Ugljan. The hotel includes additional facilities such as a restaurant, indoor swimming pool, outdoor sun terrace, saunas and a fitness area. The project is aligned with the Do-No-Significant-Harm (DNSH) principles, and the hotel building uses 21% less energy than the level required for typical operation in relation to the threshold set for nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB).
New employment will strengthen social sustainability, while training programs will enhance social, green and digital skills. The introduction of new digital technologies will improve the hotel’s market positioning. The property will also be awarded the EU Ecolabel certification, contributing to reduced CO₂ emissions, protection of water and marine resources, efficient resource use and circular-economy practices.
Total project value: €13,244,848.41
