As part of our commitment to sustainability, Hotel Preko offers guests a range of eco-friendly transportation options – both for arriving on the island of Ugljan and for getting around once you’re here.
By choosing low-impact transportation, you help preserve the island’s natural beauty and support a more responsible way of traveling.

Getting to the Hotel

Hotel Preko is located in the very center of Preko, on the island of Ugljan – just a 25-minute ferry or boat ride from Zadar. You can reach Zadar by:

• Car – via the A1 motorway (Zagreb–Zadar), taking the exit toward Zadar.
• Bus – regular bus lines connect Zadar with major cities across Croatia.
• Plane – Zadar Airport is located approximately 10 km from the city and ferry port.

From Zadar to Preko, two eco-friendly sea routes are available:

• Passenger boat (line 409) – Jadrolinija – line 409 – departs from Zadar’s Old Town port (Poluotok), foot passengers only, approx. 25 minutes.
• Car & passenger ferry (line 431) – Jadrolinija – line 431 – departs from Gaženica ferry port, approx. 25 minutes.

Once you arrive at the port of Preko, the hotel is just a short walk away. Upon request, we offer golf cart transfers to and from the port for added comfort and convenience.

Getting Around the Island

To explore the island and nearby areas, guests have access to:

• Electric golf cart – available for port transfers and short rides around Preko.
• Electric bicycles – ideal for discovering the island’s natural and cultural beauty sustainably.
